Solar Solutions for both Commercial and Residential
Wine
Storage
Recent advances in the building
industry now makes it possible to rapidly construct buildings that maintain
their internal cool climate while being completely powered by the sun.
Our Solar-Cool buildings are the solution for vintners who are looking
for an alternative to building underground caverns and cellars for the
storage of wine.
Our buildings are highly secure,
modular expandable, energy efficient and energy producing. This means
they can operate in remote locations. Near the power grid, electrical
energy not consumed by the air conditioning loads can be used on-site
to run pumps and lights or sold to the local power company. The sun which grows the grape
also aids in its production, processing and storage.

Our buildings are built on a
concrete slab with tilt -up modular concrete walls or insulated oriented
strand board wall panels.
A variety of floor plans exist
from 20’ x 40’ to 40’ x 60’ and up. Floors can also have central drains.
The insulated tilted roof has a southern exposure for the solar energy
equipment.
A variety of modular wall panels,
doors, skylights and low-energy light fixtures comprise the structural
elements of the building. These include:
- Modular electric and water utility
cores.
- Insulated Roll-up doors for
easy access.
- Natural Daylight skylights.
- Low Energy Full-Spectrum fluorescent
lights.
The building can store more
than just wine in barrels. It can store vegetables, fruits and other perishables.
It could house a whole food-processing operation, not to mention office
and laboratory. Our objective is to provide a cool storage facility designed
for the wine industry. We are ready to meet with you and discuss your
particular requirements for your winery.
As general contractors, we are
also available to help you retrofit and refurnish your existing facilities.
